(Also, if the maintenance program is initiated at this point, the actual useful life can be extended many years longer than if just installed and ignored.

John Holbrook - Chief Residential Sales Supervisor

John came to Florida from Ohio in 1969, after serving our country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. His background for the past 30 years has mainly been construction and roofing.

He came to Highlands County and Lake Placid from Broward County, where he was a union carpenter. John worked for a local contractor for a few years and joined Bowen and Son Roofing, Inc. in 1975, as a carpenter, and ran the repair crew for several years.

John left Bowen and Son Roofing, Inc. to pursue other interests but re-joined us in 1987. At this time he became our Purchasing Agent. This gave him the opportunity to become very familiar with all the products we sell. With his background in construction and familiarity with roofing products, he was natural for Residential Sales.

John has completed the Master-Elite Roofing Program, thru GAF Corp., plus many other programs, thru FSRA, (Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Assoc. related to the roofing industry. His hands on approach to roofing,and his customers needs, eliminate many problems before they become one.

John is very community minded. He has been a member of the Lake Placid Lions Club, American Legion Post and is a charter member of the Lake Placid Elks Lodge. As his children grew up, he was involved in all their functions and still remains active in as many sports functions as he can. His most recent appointment was being elected as a Commissioner on the Lake Placid Local Planning Agency
